Sheena Harper – Trustee Sheena has gone from participant to lifesaving mentor in her 50 years’ membership of RLSS UK. She is passionate about enhancing RLSS UK’s lifesaving community, so everyone can enjoy being in, on and around water, safely. Sheena was Chair of her local lifesaving club, actively delivering and facilitating lifesaving awards and is Coordinating Lead of the pilot group investigating different ways for volunteers to work together to deliver the society’s strategic aims. As a Presidents Ambassador, she supports RLSS UK’s President in the community, establishing working relationships between headquarters and volunteers on the ground. As an International Lifesaving Sport Official, Sheena understands the importance of lifesaving sport. Having an acquired disability, Sheena champions wider inclusion and overcoming barriers for individuals’ participation within the lifesaving community. Sheena wishes to use her skills and experience to take the society forward, through the development of the next strategic plan and looks forward to representing members’ interests to the board.
