Peter Moyes, Deputy President Peter has spent his career helping people and communities stay safe, healthy, and connected. With over 25 years of leadership experience spanning policing, local government, and the charity sector, he’s passionate about turning good ideas into positive action. A former Assistant Chief Constable with Nottinghamshire Police, Peter later became CEO of Life Skills Education, leading early intervention programmes that help young people make safer choices around drugs, alcohol, and risky behaviours. He now serves as a Non-Executive Director with Barnsley Premier Leisure, supporting health and wellbeing initiatives across Barnsley and Bassetlaw. A lifelong lifesaver, Peter first earned his Bronze Medallion at the age of 12 and began teaching just six years later. He was Deputy President in 2010-13, President from 2013–16, rejoined the Board in 2019, and is now proud to serve again as Deputy President. When he’s not contributing from the boardroom, you’ll find him poolside — coaching at Retford and District Lifesaving Club or training for his next competition.
