Simmy Akhtar - Chief Executive Officer Simmy joined RLSS UK from Air Ambulances UK, where, as Chief Executive, she successfully led a collaborative team to deliver the organisational strategy and significantly increase its income. Simmy brings extensive experience from previous roles, including as a solicitor in the private legal sector, as well as positions within the NHS and Local Authorities, and her current role as a Non-Executive Director at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. Simmy has substantial experience in leadership roles, including at a board and trustee level. She is also highly experienced in governance, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as business development. As reflected in her roles, Simmy is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of many. She is proud to be the CEO of RLSS UK, a charity dedicated to saving lives, empowering communities with the skills and knowledge to enjoy water safely and supporting the leisure industry in delivering best practice in water safety and training.
