The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) About our Partnership Seeking to highlight the importance of children’s water safety and drowning prevention, the partnership with the Royal Life Saving Society UK brings new opportunities for the sharing of research and insights related to children’s water safety and child drownings. The Royal Life Saving Society UK’s strategic framework 2020-2025 includes the pillar, ‘Building our Communities’. We want to reach as many people as possible to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy water safely, no matter their background. The Royal Life Saving Society UK hopes that the partnership will see the two charities work together to help raise awareness around children’s water safety education, drownings and provide further opportunities to educate parents and carers. “Our mission is to reduce avoidable deaths and serious injuries to children. The increasing numbers of children drowning is a real cause for concern for our charity. “Through this partnership with Royal Life Saving Society UK, we can work together to reach more families with vital water safety education and reduce the number of young lives lost to drowning. We look forward to our close collaboration.” - Katrina Phillips OBE, Chief Executive of the CAPT About Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is a charity, working to prevent death and serious injury to children from avoidable accidents.
