The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS UK), a national charity based in Worcester, is delighted to have been recognised for its commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion with a prestigious award. The INclusive Worcestershire Leaders program is designed to enhance inclusion across the county. The main aim of the program is to embed equality, diversity and inclusion into every business across Worcestershire, offering aid to employers at each stage of its journey to become more inclusive. Team members from RLSS UK were presented with the award at a ‘Life Beyond School Careers’ event at the Worcestershire Award Leaders Forum. Commenting on the charity’s newly achieved accolade, Andrea Cox, RLSS UK’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Executive, said: “Here at the Royal Life Saving Society UK, we’re over the moon to have officially become an INclusive Worcester Leader! “Having the opportunity to make a real change and drive your organisation forward is empowering, and our Senior Leadership Team at RLSS UK are extremely passionate about paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable organisation. “We are proud to be leading the way in accessibility and diversity and a huge thank you to the INclusive Worcestershire team for this honour. From invaluable resources to the chance to collaborate with likeminded organisations, the program offers a unique opportunity for organisations to build a strong network on their journey to becoming more inclusive – and we would encourage other local organisations to get involved. “As part of our pledge, we believe that promoting career and training opportunities for young people is important and can in turn equip them with the skills and experiences for future employment.
