Become a Lifeguard with Active Nottingham

Being a lifeguard at Active Nottingham is about more than keeping watch, it’s about giving families, swimmers, and our community the freedom to relax, play, and enjoy being in the water.

We have an open application process for recruiting casual lifeguards, and we welcome new applicants who share our commitment to safety and excellent customer care. To work as a lifeguard with us, you’ll need to hold a Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSSUK) National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Train as a Swim Teacher

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a swimming teacher, this is the perfect place to start. We offer high‑quality training pathways through Swim England Qualifications and RLSS UK awards, delivered by experienced tutors.

We are continually training new swim teachers and we’re on the look-out for recruit casual swimming instructors who are passionate about helping people of all ages learn to swim. Whether you’re assisting beginners or helping swimmers improve their technique, you’ll be joining a supportive team dedicated to high‑quality, inclusive teaching.
