The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) serves as the Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Water Safety Education, a cross-party group dedicated to championing water safety education in Parliament. The APPG brings together MPs and Peers with charities, educators, academics, statutory services, and bereaved families to ensure high-quality water safety education is available to all.

We organise the APPG’s meetings, author briefings and reports, and share evidence and insight with parliamentarians from all political backgrounds.

This is not an official website of Parliament. It has not been approved by either House. APPGs are informal groups of Parliamentarians with a common interest in particular issues. The views expressed are those of the group.

How to get involved

Under strict parliamentary rules, external attendance at APPG meetings is by formal invitation only. Due to limited capacity in the meeting rooms, external attendees for each APPG meeting are carefully selected based on their potential to contribute to the agenda topic.
