Supporters of Drowning Prevention Week 2026 Drowning Prevention Week has been running for over ten years, aiming to educate as many people as possible about water safety and prevent future drownings. The week‑long campaign is one of the largest summer water safety initiatives across the UK and Ireland, and in 2026 it aims to reach even more people than ever. Every year, a wide range of organisations and community groups support Drowning Prevention Week. From lifesaving clubs, leisure centres, swim schools, and sports clubs to schools, charities, emergency services, and local community groups, each plays a vital role in championing water safety. Their activities include delivering water safety education, sharing the Water Safety Code across digital and in‑venue platforms, running competitions, hosting events, and collaborating with local partners to spread life‑saving messages and so much more.
