Andrew is a British Heart Foundation Professor at the University of Edinburgh and Professor of Vascular Biology and Maastricht University, the Netherlands. His professional work involved the development of new therapeutics for the treatment of cardiovascular complications, including vascular grafts and heart failure. He is also championing the importance of wider knowledge of hypoxic blackouts in the water and the importance of CPR training in conjunction with the British Heart Foundation.
