The Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) course is 12 hours of learning which can be delivered over two days or split into smaller sessions over a 7 week period from the start of the course. What qualifications do you need to complete a Paediatric First Aid (PFA) qualification? No prior first aid knowledge or qualifications are required. The Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) qualification covers basic skills of CPR and first aid related to children and infants, equipping candidates with the skills to provide a safe environment for children and infants. Do RLSS UK First Aid courses include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training? All RLSS UK first aid courses include some basic use of an AED, but this is not certificated. If you require comprehensive AED training, then a standalone course is available. No! RLSS UK first aid qualifications are nationally recognised and regulated and, therefore, suitable for all individuals and workplaces. To deliver training at different venues, you need to talk to your ATC Coordinator within your workplace about the feasibility of doing this; you may need to become an Approved Training Provider (ATP) to ensure you have the appropriate cover.
