CPD must cover content from the OWL syllabus: Section 1: The Open Water Lifeguard, environment, hazards and supervision (at least 2 hours) Section 2: Responding to an emergency and taking action (at least 2 hours) Section 3: CPR and First Aid (at least 2 hours) CPD can be achieved by: Attendance at open water lifeguard ongoing training and competency assessment (strongly recommended) Attendance at alternative training, face-to-face or online, relating to in-open water rescue skills, CPR, First Aid and open water lifeguard theory Struggling to complete your CPD Hours? The RLSS UK Ongoing Training Finder is designed to support you to be ready for your renewal.
