As part of our Drowning Prevention Week (DPW) campaign, Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) is excited to introduce our first-ever non-uniform day, #Pool2School! Coming to schools in the UK and Ireland on Friday, 20 June 2025.

What is #Pool2School?

#Pool2School is a fun and engaging way for schools to get involved in DPW. We invite pupils to swap their usual school uniforms for red and yellow outfits, mimicking the iconic colours of lifeguard uniforms. This vibrant display of colours will not only raise awareness about our water safety campaign but also help us gather vital funds to support our life-saving charity.

Why Participate?

Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death, and educating children about water safety is crucial. By participating in #Pool2School, the funds raised will enable RLSS UK to continue educating even more children about the importance of water safety, ensuring kids have the knowledge and skills to stay safe around water.

How to Get Involved

Getting involved in #Pool2School is simple:

  • Mark the Date: Friday 20 June 2025
  • Dress Up: Encourage pupils to wear red and yellow
  • Donate: Invite pupils to bring in a donation to support RLSS UK

Why not show our short Water Safety Code cartoon in your assemblies on the same day?

Spread the Word

Help us make #Pool2School a huge success by spreading the word! Share this blog with your school community, post about the event on social media, and encourage everyone to participate. We look forward to seeing schools across the UK and Ireland dress up for #Pool2School!
